  • Are advanced reservations required?
    Reservations in advance are not necessary. Groups of 10 or more should contact us in advance to take advantage of our group discount program. School groups should visit our website to obtain information about school tours.
  • Can I have a private event such as a birthday party, wedding or special gathering at The Mine Experience?"
    Yes, the Mine Experience is available for special events of all kinds. Please see the Private Parties option under the PLAN YOUR VISIT tab on our website for more information.
  • Where are you located?
    We are located at 57 Lynn Lane in Henderson, NV behind City Hall.
  • When is The Mine Experience open?
    Currently the Mine Experience is open to the General Pubic on the 1st Saturday of the month from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. We are also open for Private Group Tours other days of the month by advance reservation only.
  • How long should I plan for my visit to The Mine Experience?
    You are welcome to stay as long as you like during our normal visiting hours on the 1st Saturday of the month from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. No new admissions are allowed after 1:30 p.m. The average visit is around 2 hours.
  • Do you ever close for inclement weather?
    Yes, there are times when the weather affects the experience that our guests would have at our facilities. If we know if advance of a closure we will post that information on our Facebook page.
  • Can I take photos at the Mine Experience?
    By all means you should take as many photos and videos as you would like as long as you post some of them on social media and add a #TheMineExperience to them.
  • If I do the Panning Experience, will I find gold?"
    There are many things to find during our Panning Experience. Gold has been found but it is extremely rare. Silver and other attractive stones are much more common to find and the great thing is, whatever you find you get to take home!
  • Is the Mine a real mine?
    Our centerpiece attraction is a 5100 sq. ft. simulated underground gold mine.
  • Can I purchase tickets online?
    No, at this time admission is only available at the entrance.
  • What ages will enjoy the Mine Experience?
    We have something for everyone. While most of our exhibits and experience are designed for those that are 6 years or older we also have play areas designed for our younger guests to enjoy.
  • Can I bring my own food and drink when I visit?
    Yes, you may bring any food items and any non-alcoholic drink items you like to our property. We even have picnic tables around the property and in our outdoor pavilion that are available for your use. Why not bring your family and have a picnic at the Mine?
  • Can I bring pets to The Mine Experience?
    No pets are allowed on our property unless they are service animals. A service animal is defined as an animal that has been individually trained to do work or perform tasks for an individual with a disability. The task(s) performed by the animal must be directly related to the person's disability.
